Derek Hunter is a radio host on WCBM in Baltimore, Maryland weekdays from 9 AM to Noon and host of “The Derek Hunter Podcast" on iTunes, Stitcher and Soundcloud.
He began sharing his radio commentary in 2005 when he hosted a live call-in radio show for The Heritage Foundation, discussing a wide range of policy issues. In 2007, he created a popular Capitol Hill show called “The First Friday" podcast.
In 2010, he began guest hosting for various shows on WMAL Radio in Washington, D.C. and in 2011, he began working with WBAL Radio in Baltimore, MD, hosting weeknights 9 pm to midnight. WBAL moved him to weekdays 12-2 pm in April 2013 and he left WBAL in 2017. He began hosting mid-mornings on WCBM in Baltimore in 2019.
He began hosting “The Daily Daily Caller" podcast in 2017 and then in 2020, he took over the podcast and renamed it to “The Derek Hunter Podcast".
He was a guest host on The Rush Limbaugh Show in November 2020.
In addition to hosting his radio show on WCBM and his podcast, he is an author and columnist.
